...or, practice, learning and good friends patient to test your mistakes :) Yes, it is not really easy to make a perfect pattern. Or yes, it is easy? Well, depend on your experience, patience (your and your friends). I am not native speaker of English. I can make mistakes in writing. Ok, there is always grammar and language nazi people. Finally, I hate too when people on my native language make mistakes. Native speakers, Foreigners hardly learn Serbian, our grammar is terrible. I didn't learn English in school. Also, I never ever lived in English speaking country. I learned English by myself. Writing pattern means that I for the first have to imagine what I want to design. Than, I crochet it. Rip, also :) Every design is full of ideas and frogging. It is not too hard. I am very patient, can undo my work as many times as needed to finish something perfect. Perfect for me. Don't talk about taste. All the time I write and strike through. When I finish, tape pattern in my computer. And make once again same item (maybe different size, if I write for few sizes) again! Reading and following my own instructions. All the time I make photos. Huge number! And after all, make decision which one to put in pattern. During my repeated work on same item, friends test my pattern (without photos). It is not easy. We talk lot of and discus about some changing, or explaining some steps better. Well, and this is it! I love to make patterns. Sorry if my English offend you. It is not my intention.

And, still I have a billion problems, but... I am fighter!
Very soon, I will start again. This time, here will be published my free patterns. Remember, for my other patterns, visit my Etsy shop. In last few weeks, I am not really ok. Little bit heath problems, little bit money problems, and finally, if people I love have a problems, I can not manage it. Not any more. I wish I can help... but after some time spent in thinking, I wish I can help without too much involving in others life. Doesn't matter, I must work. It is my destiny, only possible way to fight with problems. I did lot of new crochet items in last time. And hope will sell it... My favorite is bag! Colorful. Amazing. Has bambu handles, lining, 3 pockets inside, and all colors you need for summer! eep in mind that this dark blue is actually not blue. It is VIOLET! But photos are little bit disappointing. I made a beautiful dress, and hope that today will make good photos. My neighbours have a guest, China girl. She is tiny, and I asked her to wear my dress, for photos for Etsy. She accepted! Yeeeeaaaa.... This dress: Hi to all! After little bit longer than I like, well, I want to show you my new item! Of course, you can buy it in my SHOP! YES! This is single hammock. Cotton fabric, cotton lace, wooden balls... fringe! And, river! Enough for enjoying, I think. I made one more different, but this is my favorite. And, I have to tell you what I did. Well, lady from US ordered colorful hammock. One other ordered this beige. I made both, packed, and first one sent to wrong person! YES! I mixed orders. Fortunately, didn't send second one. Just one mistake. But... I had to make new one, rush, and finally, explain lady what I did. Now, I can only wish that she will send wrong hammock back, or to my brother in US. Or to pay something (not full price, I will offer it, if she will ask). Wish me luck! I am tired! I'm really tired!
I fight for life, to earn money to have something basic, nothing more...but it is hard. Don't understand how to make my Etsy shop to work better, paid education and happaned, WHAT? Nothing!!! But people around me work well. I can not ask, because they will not answer. Also, I EDUCATED them to start shops. What I am doing wrong? What? I am tired. I am really tired. have really big problem with new items for my shop! I want everything perfect, without a single thin thread anywhere, and bad stitch! My standards are very high.
I think that it is meter of experience and finally knowledge. I know what is good, and I expect of myself nothing more than perfect! Well, after long time, I recently made a bikini! Didn't use any pattern, because found that patterns are ... well, under my standard. No, I am not arrogant, just tested them, and found problems. This is my new item!!! Bikini, red! When I started my Etsy shop, I didn't know what I can expect!
It was just a one more step for me, without lot of thinking. Shop was made, listings too, and almost a year I expected something! I don't know what, but I expected! Than, last year in February I finally found out that I have to work something! I learn! About SEO! When I started to learn, I also started blog on Serbian about my straggling and everything about Etsy. Also, I decided to make this blog, too, on English. Actually, I love to write on English, and this was my "small escape" to something other... I still love this blog, even I am not sure that people read this, there is no single one comment. But... I am writing this because of me, and for my pleasure! Meanwhile, my Etsy shop rose! Not still become a big, but will be! Because I am on new stage: learning something different! And, meanwhile, I crochet! |
